Lotus Seed & Chamomile Calm Porridge

A warm, grounding breakfast for sensitive tummies and emotions. Lotus seeds (makhana) + chamomile bring cool, centered calm.

🧂 Ingredients (1–2 servings)

  • ¼ cup puffed lotus seeds (makhana)
  • ½ cup water or unsweetened oat milk
  • 1 tsp cooled chamomile tea (unsweetened)
  • 1 tsp pumpkin purée (optional)
  • ¼ tsp coconut oil

🥣 Method

  • Dry-roast makhana 2–3 mins; let cool; grind coarsely.
  • Simmer water/oat milk; whisk in ground makhana.
  • Cook 3–4 mins to creamy porridge.
  • Stir in chamomile tea, coconut oil (and pumpkin, if using).
  • Serve warm or slightly cooled.

    • Large dogs: ¼–½ cup
  • Refrigerate up to 24–36 hrs; rewarm gently with water.
